|| Chapter 1 ||
Setting: Before World War II
Four children ran across the fields of rice, smiles full of glee on their faces. The sandals under their feet made noises as they ran, their clothes following their movements with the wind. They stopped running as they reached the top of a hill, and one of them made a noise that was full of awe.
A beautiful sunset was presented to the four, and their eyes widened as they saw it. The only girl in the group, ______, grinned widely and ran down the hill as she saw a lone flower at the bottom. She tripped in the process but continued to run, causing the three to get worried for her.
"Oi, ______! Don't just run off like that!" said her black-haired friend named Kageyama Tobio who ran immediately after her. The other two just followed them, and just mimicked what he had said. "Yeah shorty, don't just do that. The 'king' might get mad."
"Who are you calling a 'king', huh?!" Kageyama faced his 'friend' who had short blonde hair and who was tall for their age, Tsukishima Kei. The latter scoffed and just went to _______, who was holding a flower and covered in dirt.
"Ah, Tsukki! Tobio! Yamaguchi!" the girl exclaimed as she saw her three friends approaching her. "Look at it! It's the only flower here!" She said, smiling. The three boys looked at the flower closely and smiled as well, with the exception of Tsukishima.
"You better keep it then, _______." said Yamaguchi, who smiled shyly as he scratched his cheek. The girl nodded and looked at the sky. The sky had begun to fade into a shady blue and stars had appeared. Her eyes glimmered as she looked, and widened as a shooting star passed by.
"Did you see that?!" said _______, standing up immediately while pointing at the sky. The three boys looked at each other and shook their heads. "A shooting star fell from the sky! It fell from the sky!" _______ exclaimed while holding on to the flower.
"A shooting star?" asked Yamaguchi, looking at the sky. "Doesn't that mean something bad is going to happen soon?" said Tsukishima, glancing at the sky and then looked at _______. Kageyama shurgged his shoulders in reply. No one didn't know what that shooting star meant, but to ______, it meant something beautiful.
But in years' time, the four friends would have to go through something they never didn't want to endure or encounter.

First Game: Elementary School - Tsukishima Kei vs. (L/n) (F/n)
He was popular. He was handsome. He was wanted. He was the number one student. He was perfect. Well, at least that's what he and majority of the school taught of him. With his tousled blonde hair and his golden eyes that would do nothing but entrap the gaze of anybody who had the privilege of looking, even glancing, at them. Tsukishima Kei's grades did not fall short of perfection and he simply lived the life of perfection. Straight A student, athletic, tall, and handsome - nobody would be in their right mind to dismiss him a

Tsukishima Kei x Reader - Bittersweet (Slight AU)
“Tsukishima!” you called.
No response.
“For crying out loud,” you grumbled, going around to the back door. His family always left it open since you and Yamaguchi tended to come at odd times.
He hadn't been to school or practice since yesterday. Yamaguchi would have come himself, but he actually feared Daichi and didn't want to risk skipping practice like the tall blond. Since you were and Tsukki were dating, (which was obviously kept pretty quiet lest the others make fun of him), he'd begged you to go in his place.
You made your way to Kei's room and sighed.
The blond was lying face down on his bed, still as

The vase smashed onto the floor with a loud crash just as the volleyball reached his feet.
Tsukishima stares at the broken porcelain for a long moment, considering his options in the millisecond that passes before he picks up the ball and presses it into (name)’s hands. He says nothing as he turns around and rushes out of the room, little feet carrying him away just as their mothers enter the room.
It doesn't take long for the two women to spot the shattered vase, the volleyball in your hands and your pale face.
You watch as your mother's face goes red with embarrassment and worse anger before she begins yelling.
